That night, DJ Michael and the Thunderwaves were born, not just as a band, but as a signal. A new voice. A bold experiment in sound, story, and soul.

What We Believe
We’re not a throwback. We’re not a gimmick.

We believe music doesn’t need permission. It doesn’t need a label, a gatekeeper, or a rulebook stuck in 1995.
What it needs is truth, raw, cracked, full of fire, whether it comes from a real mic or a virtual voice. We use tech like a guitarist uses distortion, not to fake it, but to feel more. AI’s just another instrument. What matters is who's playing it, and why.

Meet the Thunderwaves
Each member brings a different vibe, a different sound: piano, bass, flute, guitar, strings, drums, horns, and voices that hit like thunder.
They go by their initials because this isn’t about fame. It’s about flow. (from left to right)
MJ – Piano & Vocals
MJ plays with soul and clarity. Whether she’s laying down shimmering piano riffs or singing lead with heartfelt warmth, she’s the heartbeat behind the band’s mood.

Fun fact: Once rewired a synth with a hairpin and stubbornness. It lived. Barely.

CL – Violin & Strings
CL’s violin adds cinematic magic to every track. Quietly intense, she layers emotion and drama into the band’s soundscape—often without saying a word.

Fun fact: Refuses to use rosin unless it’s from a weird street market in Budapest.

RD – Bass Vocals
RD’s deep, grounding voice gives every harmony a thunderous floor. With a stare that says “don’t mess,” he’s the band’s rock in every breakdown. He plays flute sometimes.

The architect of the Thunderwaves, DJ Michael blends poetry, emotions, voice, vision, and tech wizardry. He’s the storm in the center, grounded yet always pushing boundaries.

“I make music the way some folks breathe — constantly, and sometimes too loud.”
​
Fun fact: Has three notebooks, two laptops, and one broken keyboard ... all full of unfinished ideas that somehow still feel finished.

NT – Drums
NT is all rhythm, all drive. A powerhouse behind the kit, she keeps the band tight, loud, and always a little dangerous.
“I don’t keep time. I bend it.”

Fun fact: Can fall asleep during a drum solo... her own.

TK – Saxophone & Trumpet
Bold and unpredictable, TK brings brass that bites and grooves that stick. His solos are never the same twice, and that’s just how he likes it.
“Practice is for people who want to sound the same twice.”
Fun fact: Claims to have once jammed with a subway busker, a raccoon, and a police siren, and it slapped.

TW – Guitar/Banjo/Strings & Baritone Vocals
Folk roots, blues soul, and a hint of rebellion, TW flips between banjo twang and gritty riffs without missing a beat. His baritone vocals are pure mood.
“If it’s got strings, I’ll make it sing… or scream.”
Fun fact: Built his first banjo out of an old satellite dish and a shoelace. Still plays it sometimes. It sounds haunted.
LJ – Bass Guitar
Groove is LJ’s game. With calm confidence and smooth flow, she holds down the rhythm section like gravity itself, steady, cool, and essential. And her voice brings soothing harmonies.
“I groove low, think deep, and show up on time.”
Fun fact: Only smiles once per show. Fans have turned it into a drinking game.
